The Ganzo’s Cinco de Mayo Committee has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 global pandemic. After careful deliberation and in accordance with the State of Iowa’s Public Health Disaster Emergency, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the City of Davenport, we have decided to cancel this year’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Although this is a difficult decision, we believe it is in the best interest of our guests, sponsors, volunteers, and community.

Our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta has given us the chance to share our Mexican heritage with the Quad City community and provide a place for everyone to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, regardless of background. We are very thankful to our community for supporting our fiesta over the years and making Ganzo’s the best place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

The Cinco de Mayo 5K is still on and has transitioned to a virtual race. All participants will receive an email detailing changes and instructions. Participants will still receive a t-shirt, medal and bib, and will automatically be entered in a drawing for a $25 Ganzo’s gift certificate.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the logistics of this year’s Cinco de Mayo 5K, we are still committed to providing a great race experience and raising funds and awareness for the Quad Cities Autism Center. Thank you to all participants for understanding and thank you to all our wonderful sponsors for supporting this great cause.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our community. Although this news is difficult to share, we believe it is the right course of action. Thank you for understanding and for supporting our family-owned business during this extremely difficult and unprecedented time.

Stay strong, safe and healthy.

God bless,

Pat Puente and family
