Our Fiesta

Mexican culture is more than tacos and sombreros, it’s about diverse history, music, art, and family. At Ganzo’s, we’ve always had a desire to share our cultural heritage with the Quad Cities community, which is why we were the first to bring a Cinco de Mayo celebration to the QC.

Ganzo’s quickly became the #1 place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Quad Cities, and we promptly moved our live indoor Mexican band outdoors under a large tent. Our Cinco de Mayo fiesta continued to grow and we now have multiple live Mexican bands, bounce houses, face painting, jalapeño eating contests, piñatas, tequila tasting, and much more.

As our Cinco de Mayo fiesta grew, we started looking for ways to give back to the Quad Cities community who have constantly supported us. We revived our Nacho Ordinary 5K 12 years ago with a mission to donate the proceeds to local non-profits. Currently, we’ve raised over $50,000 through our Cinco de Mayo 5K and we have over 1,200 participants.

Today, people come from all over the Midwest to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us, and we are proud to host such a popular event. It takes months of preparation, but it’s always great to see the results. Thank you to all our friends, customers, and community who celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us and give us the opportunity to bring Mexican heritage to the Quad Cities.
